My little Hugh!

Hugh is only a little like you. He is not at all cool; in fact, he thinks cool is a temperature reading, and when he says "Oh, I just put on whatever old thing's lying around," he means "on the floor, where I threw it last night - but I turned the underwear inside out first." There's never been anything special about him that he could see; boy, is he in for a surprise. He's got no emotional scars to speak of. And he's gotten no slack from you.

In general, you care deeply about Hugh, but you're smart enough to let him stand on his own, without burdening him with your personal fantasies or propping him up with idealization and over-dramatization. Hugh is a healthy character with a promising career ahead of him.

Score Breakdown

Letters to my older self.

K's wedding and other stuff

Dear Older Me, how was the wedding? Have we gotten to be back around Laura yet? how far are we into Ryoshi's story? I hope we're pretty far. Are we still a college student? What's our GPA? How'd we do in PSYC? I am so curious. You had better do well, and not mess things up.

My current dream wedding!

My current dream wedding is one where my current pastor dresses in a Starfleet type uniform to do his'

part of the wedding, where the recipe I posted in my notes is served at the reception, and where Pastor

T. (the one who I grew up with, and was baptised by) can hopefully be convinced into a Captain Picard

outfit, and to say"Make it so," at some point or another. I have my fingers crossed.

Now what would I have to do to get Bro T. to, ah, porter la uniforme de
la mon capitain préféré if and when I get marriedeh, without thinking badly of me, that is. Just so you know, I read fanfiction. Actually, sometimes, that's my main way of learning about a story. Y'know, I'm probably a fan of lots of things whose original forms I've never watched or read. Yeah, I'm a..... You know, .... It's a specific fandom I'm attempting to highlight in this spot. You know, they have books about that sort of thing, and not just fanfiction. Lots of legible material. I positively do not need a TV to get my Star Trek fix.... Bet you never would have thought it of me, though. Something else humorous: I've only known of four Apostolic/Pentecostal people who are Star Trek fans. Mind you, I'm specifically a Next Generation fan. Quite specifically.

Routines are valuable to Autistics, and Autistics are valuable to society. --Persuasive Speech

The way people are reacting to this isn't a good thing. You see, Autistic people have value inherent in the fact that they're just as human as everyone else. The theft of objects that help form their routines should not be viewed as humorous.

I have been told that I am Autistic by a psychiatrist. This was not too long after I graduated from High School at age 16. I was overloaded by someone taking away something very important to me, and my mind was sorely negatively effected.

Routines are very important to us, and without the capacity to see stuff coming without being surprised by it, routines are our best hope of maintaining capacity. Us having our normal capacities is a good thing, because we do have a great capacity to specialise and be valuable.

If that is hard for you to swallow, you should know that Bill Gates is an Asperger's Autistic. If you don't believe me, check his IMDB page. He most certainly is extremely valuable to us.

In closing, I should like to say this: If it had been a normal school that was robbed, there wouldn't have been laughter about it. If it had been a child without a diagnosis to make the wish, there may've been sympathy. In the end, I believe that great things will depend on an Autistic casting off the cloak of aloneness, and mastering communication to a degree that no neurotypical ever could.

Well, at least it wasn't Kirk.

Which STAR TREK Character Are You?
Spock You seem to have a lot in common with Mr. Logic himself. You've always been the practical one. Your feet are firmly planted on the ground, and you know exactly how to keep them there. You enjoy learning and sharing your knowledge with others. On the other hand, you're probably not a Vulcan.

Re the Autism vs. Sleep Disorder thing: It would be better to be Autistic than have a sleep disorder! Autists have a fifty percent chance of mildness, according to the CDC. People who get no sleep have a 100% chance of eventually being so sleep deprived, it'll be like they were drunk! Drunkenness slows one down (reflexively and basically wiping out the capacity to access memory) than does Autism! It's a shame that no one knows to prefer Autism!

Rather Pleased Here! YAY!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunate. I'M A PICARD FAN, AND I AM PROUD!!!!

Who is your favorite Star Trek Captain?

Ways to know you're weird like me.

You and your doctor think that you're Autistic, but some of your most major special interests over time have been your best friends.

About the ASD: you believe it's enhanced your relationships and learning capacity.

You believe that the only thing messing with your brain now, is the bad choices you've made, and people's reactions or lack thereof to it.

You think that simply being mortal is disabling, as no mortal is God.

You think that the majority is weird for doing what they were trained/cued to do, particularly when it goes against long standing training.

You wonder if a decreased awareness makes people less sentient.

You're an Apostolic.

You stim in church. As a praise form.

You believe that God appreciates it.

You've ever publicly (the internet is considered to be in public here) declared that you are a dual fan of both Star Trek and Star Wars.

You are Pentecostal, and you believe that God doesnt mind that you like them.

You know what a theory really is.

You believe in God because it's the logical thing to do.

You believe that God made the laws of physical science to suit His' purposes.

You believe that God is good, despite the usual questionings.

You believe that your time of greatest weakness will also be your time of greatest strength.

You can't help but think of Captain Picard beating out Locutus after that.

And then you think of Obi Wan for reasons unknown to you.

Nothing like cute things to make you hate evil!

You like the Star Trek TNG theme song. You also like Jam Project tunes. You also find room in your heart to like Petra and Avalon.

You like Narnia and Redwall as well as Star Trek.

You like spotting your brain cousins.

You like correcting people who say 150 and 166. IT'S 110, NORMALS! :P

You also like correcting people's spelling.

You prefer British spelling.

At the end of the day, though, your favourite thing to do is still email your best friend.

About Me

My photo
Live Long and Prosper! I am an eccentric. I like Jewish/Hebrew music, focusing on whatever special interests I have, especially if it concerns my friends. Quintessentially, I love my gifts from God. I dislike it when people dislike the lives of their own children, and torture them in the name of training and treatment. My dreams for the future are to become a Professor, writer, wife and mum. May the Force be with you!
